ABC EN INGLÉS

Os quiero comentar dos libros con la misma idea conceptualmente, ya que ambos dedican una página completa a cada letra del abecedario, aunque con acabados muy diferentes. Página a página descubriremos mucho vocabulario en inglés, de hecho, seguramente en una segunda lectura y en una tercera encontraremos algo nuevo.

Por un lado, tenemos uno que descubrí hace poco en una librería de segunda mano: THE STEPHEN CARTWRIGHT ABC, de la mano del uno de mis ilustradores preferidos Stephen Cartwright (el del patito amarillo) con textos de Heaher Amery y editado por Usborne Publishing.

El otro es ANIMALIA de Graeme Base, este es de un tamaño mayor y mucho más barroco, para mí más feo, pero por otro lado con mucho más vocabulario que el anterior. En este sí que descubres una palabra nueva cada vez que lo lees. Esta es la frase con la que lo presenta el autor

más allá del hechizo de las palabras escritas,

I want to comment two books with the same idea conceptually, since both devote a full page to each letter of the alphabet, though with very different styles. Page by page we discover a lot of vocabulary in English, in fact, probably in a second reading and even in a third reading we'll find something new.

On the one hand, we have one that I discovered recently at a second hand bookstore: THE STEPHEN CARTWRIGHT ABC, by one of my favorite illustrators: Stephen Cartwright (the one of yellow duck) with texts from Amery Heaher and edited by Usborne Publishing.

The other is ANIMALIA of Graeme Base, this is a larger and more baroque, perhanps not so stylish, but with much more vocabulary. Sure you'll discover a new word each time you read it. This is the phrase with which he presents the author:
